Kids Sewing Semester – Intermediate 2 (Fall 2026)
For students who have successfully completed our Intermediate 1 Sewing Semester.
Semester Dates: Begins the week of August 24, 2026 and concludes the last week of November 2026.
A minimum of 6 students is required for each class. If enrollment is too low, the class may be canceled.
What Students Will Learn
Intermediate 2 is designed for students who are ready to refine their sewing skills while tackling more detailed projects that introduce professional construction techniques and increased independence.
Throughout the semester, students will continue advancing their sewing abilities while learning techniques such as:
- Quilting and working with layered fabrics
- Creating structured, padded projects
- Sewing curved seams with precision
- Constructing a reversible bucket hat
- Improving topstitching accuracy
- Installing multiple pockets and specialty construction details
- Building confidence through increasingly challenging projects
- Developing professional finishing techniques
Students continue to work at their own pace while strengthening their technical skills and sewing independence.
Planned Projects
Projects are subject to change based on class progress and material availability.
- Quilted book / e-device cover
- Reversible bucket hat
- Multi-pocket drawstring treasure keeper
Bonus Projects (time permitting):
