Summer Sewing Camp - Bedroom Bonanza! - July 26-30, 10:00-12:00
Room for 6 students
Gilbert, Arizona. Designed specifically for boys and girls (ages 7 and up) who have at least intermediate sewing skills (can easily thread and use a sewing machine and follow a pattern while staying focused). In this camp students will build their skills and make multiple projects that they can show off to friends and family while learning more complex types of machine and hand sewing.
Classes are for 5 days, 2 hours each day.
Projects we will work on are: bedside caddy pocket organizer, hanging banner with name, book basket, slumber party pillow case with pocket and handles (student brings own fabric). If we have time at the end of the week we'll make throw pillow covers (pillow form included).
Pick-up and Drop-off:
Drop off is 10:00 am. Pick-up is at 12:00.
Cost: $195, includes all fabric/supplies, *except for pillow case ($50 value). Sewing machines are provided free of charge during camp.
*For the pillow case students need to bring 1 yard of main fabric and 1/3 yard of trim fabric. The fabric needs to be 100% cotton quilting weight fabric cut from the bolt. No pre-cuts or fat quarter type of cuts please (they don't work for this project). I recommend Hobby Lobby, JoAnn or Walmart for fabric.
