Build A Bag Workshop - Sat October 28, 9:30 - 12:30 am bb1028
Sat, September 30, 9:30 - 12:30 am
Bring a friend and build a bag!
In this workshop each person gets to pick from the hundreds of fabrics we have in stock to build a reversible, cross body tote with pockets. Pick cute, matching fabrics or boho, eclectic fabrics...the sky's the limit. Each bag is approx 14"across x 14"tall (and about 4" deep) with a long shoulder strap to fit comfortably across your body. These totes are great for taking to your local market or carrying on an airplane.
We will spend the first few minutes of class choosing fabrics and cutting the pieces out. Then we will sew sew sew and each person will go home with a beautiful, hand crafted tote bag. You will have new skills, and an easy pattern you can use again and again (perfect for selling at craft fairs or on etsy if you're looking for ideas).
We will supply the fabric, thread, machines, and all the tools you'll need to get the job done. You are welcome to bring your own machine if you are comfortable with it and it's in good working condition.
When you purchase this class you will receive the link to download your own pdf pattern for the Reversible Tote. Please print it out and bring it to class with you. You are free to use this pattern to create items to sell if you like!
Who Can Come:
This class is suitable for anyone who has taken the beginner class or already knows how to sew, measure and cut. It's open to adults as well as kids who can sew a straight line and work on their own. This is a great parent/child project to work on together as well as a super fun group event. A spot must be purchased for each student (no machine sharing).
Cancellations received 72 hours before class start, will be able to redistribute their class fees to another class/camp. Cancellations received less than 72 hours before class start or no-shows forfeit their class fees. We are unable guarantee the same class or session will be available for rescheduling. Arriving more than 30 minutes late for class may be a forfeit of class fees.
