This is a GREAT beginner class!
Summer Sewing Camp 2026 – EMBROIDERY WEEK!
Hand Sewing (July 6–10, 10:00 AM–12:00 PM)
Room for 12 students
Located in Gilbert, Arizona, this camp is designed for boys and girls ages 6 and up—no prior sewing experience required! Students will build confidence and creativity as they complete multiple projects while learning a variety of beautiful hand embroidery techniques.
Each camp runs for 5 days, 2 hours per day, giving students plenty of time to learn, practice, and create.
During the week, students will design and stitch their own 8-inch embroidery hoop masterpiece featuring a charming landscape scene. They’ll choose their own fabrics and bring their designs to life with farm details like sheep, barns, hay bales, flowers, trees, fences, or a seascape with kelp, sharks, octopi, waves, shells, and anything else they want!
Students will learn a wide variety of stitches, including:
- French knots
- Lazy daisies
- Bullion roses
- Seed stitches
- Woven stitches
- Running stitches
…and many more!
To finish, each student will “sign” their artwork with stitches on the back and attach a ribbon so it’s ready to display and treasure for years to come (hoop included!).
Returning students are welcome! If your child has already completed this project, they’ll be guided to create a brand-new, original design.
