This is not a beginner class. It's for adults who know how to sew on a sewing machine before they come to camp.
ADULT Summer Sewing Camp 2026 - Messenger Bag!
(June 15-19, 1:00-3:00)
Room for 12 students
Located in Gilbert, Arizona, this camp is designed for teens and adults who have completed a beginner sewing class within the past 6 months. Students should be comfortable threading and using a sewing machine and sewing a consistent straight seam.
Create a beautiful, functional messenger bag from start to finish in this hands-on class! Students will learn professional techniques while constructing a fully lined bag featuring boxed corners, a stylish flap closure, and multiple pockets for organization.
This project includes:
- Interior zipper pocket
- Patchwork pockets
- Exterior pocket
- Adjustable strap
- Structured, stabilized fabric for a polished finish
You’ll also learn how to properly stabilize fabric to give your bag durability and structure—an essential skill you can apply to future projects.
