Ready to learn how to sew—or get back into it with confidence? This welcoming, hands-on class is perfect for absolute beginners and anyone looking for a refresher.
In this 2.5-hour session, you’ll learn how to confidently use a sewing machine, including how to thread it, understand needles and thread types, and choose the right fabrics and supplies. We’ll walk through all the essentials to set you up for success, plus share practical tips and insider advice to make sewing easier and more enjoyable.
You’ll also complete a beginner-friendly project to take home—so you leave with both new skills and something you made yourself.
What’s Included:
All machines, tools, and supplies
Step-by-step instruction in a small group setting (max 12 students)
A helpful supply list for building your own sewing kit
Resources for shopping smart (and avoiding unnecessary purchases!)
You’re welcome to bring your own sewing machine if you’d like help learning it—just be sure it’s in working condition and bring the manual, foot pedal, and accessories. Please arrive 5 minutes early for setup.
Please note: No need to purchase a machine before class—we’ll cover what to look for so you can make a smart investment later.
Cost: $70 per student
After registration, you’ll receive a waiver—please bring it completed (or email it ahead of time to makesewing@gmail.com).

Within 2 days: Credit toward another class
Day of class: No refund
